Cheap gaming mouse needers: may I suggest the Logitech G305 Lightspeed, down to £28 / $28 on Prime Day

Wireless quality at wired prices

Just for a change, I’ve decided to go through a whole deal day without mentioning the Logitech G502 Hero. Bollocks. Okay, how about this: I go through one without actively recommending the Logitech G502 Hero, and will instead scratch the mouse advice itch by noting how its wireless cousin, the Logitech G305 Lightspeed, is down a mere £28 / $28 as part of Prime Day 2025. Ahh, there we go.

The G305 Lightspeed has been kicking and/or scrolling around for a while now, but I only recently came to appreciate its specific charms as I was looking for easily portable mouse that might make a good Steam Deck accessory. The compact and cable-free G305 Lightspeed is such a mouse, but it’s good enough to handle everyday desktop play as well: it feels denser and tougher than its plastic shell looks, with solid mechanical switches and a nicely flickable sensor (a less high-end version of the one in the G502 Hero, come to think of it. Bollocks, again). Logitech’s Lightspeed wireless connection tech is among the best in the business, too.

US deal:

S’worth noting that a few different colour options are available through that Amazon US listing, most of which are at the same cut price. Fellow Brits, we only get the black version, I’m guessing because someone at either Amazon or Logitech is deep in mourning for Norman Tebbit.
