- Scott Frost is featured in EA Sports College Football 26 as UCF’s head coach.
- Over 300 real-life coaches appear in the game, though some opted out.
Scott Frost has experience with this sort of thing.
Not only has he been in video games before, he graced the cover of NCAA GameBreaker 99 after his final season as a quarterback at Nebraska. Now, he’s back in the virtual world as a coach.
EA Sports College Football 26 includes more than 300 real-life coaches, including Frost, the UCF Knights’ new leader. Coaches had the option to opt in or out. Most gave EA Sports the OK to use their names and likenesses. Some, like Colorado’s Deion Sanders and North Carolina’s Bill Belichick, said no. Last year’s title, the first following an 11-year hiatus, did not feature real coaches.
College Football 26’s early-access window opened at noon on July 7. Here’s the first look at Frost in the game:
It’s his first time in a video game since Madden NFL 2004. In that edition, he was a 45 overall free safety and a free agent.
Frost returned to UCF last December. In his first stint in charge of the Knights, he went 19-7, highlighted by a 13-0 season in 2017. He then left for his alma mater and spent five seasons there. He led the Cornhuskers to a 16-31 record.
UCF offensive coordinator Steve Cooper and defensive coordinator Alex Grinch also appear in the new game.Â
