PS Plus Essential has a bunch of games coming in September, and they’re getting revealed very soon.
PS Plus’ next release is just around the corner, and some predictions suggest that we’re in for another month of absolute gems.
PS Plus has been hitting it out of the park for users over the past few months, offering a wide variety of games for them to immerse themselves in for special occasions – and just because PlayStation felt like being generous. The last PS Plus drop was for Extra and Premium subscribers in August, delivering Marvel’s Spider-Man and the stunning day-one release Sword of the Sea, and before that came the appearance of Lies of P and Day Z in the PS Plus Essential August delivery.
There’s plenty to get pumped about as more PS Plus games are coming for Essential subscribers soon to kick off September, and already, fans are starting to cast their votes for what could appear in the PS Plus Essential September drop predictions.

Some speculate that Lego Horizon Adventures could appear alongside the likes of Viewfinder and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, which would make for an exciting drop for a number of players, especially those with young children – but we won’t know for sure what’s coming until the games are officially revealed.
Luckily for us, though, that isn’t all that far off. So, when can we expect the PS Plus Essential September games reveal time?
Here’s what you need to know
PS Plus Essential September games reveal time.
The PS Plus Essential September games are slated to be revealed at 8.30am PDT / 11.30am EDT / 4.30pm BST on Wednesday, August 27. This is because the PS Plus Essential games for any given month are always announced on the last Wednesday of the preceding month and then launched on the following Tuesday, which in this case is Tuesday, September 2.
Previous months’ Essential games have had inconsistent reveal times, with July’s release coming early due to the service’s anniversary celebrations announcement and the subsequent month being disclosed a day early for no apparent reason.
However, we’re confident that the games will be released at this time despite these irregular release times.
