AIM1 and Chukyo University to launch joint research project

AIM1, a gaming peripheral brand established by AndGAMER Co., Ltd. and specialized for FPS gamers, has decided to start a joint research project with Chukyo University in order to incorporate an academic approach to mouse development. We have decided to start a joint research project with “Chukyo University” to incorporate an academic approach to mouse development into “AIM1”. AIM1 plans to release a product based on the joint research at the end of 2026.

Background and details of research conducted
With the recent focus on e-sports, there has been a growing interest in the factors that influence gamers’ performance. However, there is still insufficient research based on scientific data on the impact of gaming devices on player performance. To compensate for this deficiency, this research will introduce an academic approach to the development of gaming mice. This joint research was made possible through matching support from the Toyota Innovation Center.
The research involves an analysis of the relationship between gaming performance and mouse characteristics, drawing on the expertise of Professor Keito Mekada of Chukyo University’s Faculty of Engineering. The research results will be applied to the development of new AIM1 products.
Comments from Tsubasa Kamimori, President of AndGAMER, Inc.
This is a new challenge that incorporates an academic approach in addition to the empirical development methods we have used in the past. Through this research, we hope to deliver a better mouse for gamers.
Comment from Professor Keito Mekada, Department of Information Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chukyo University
We are pleased to be able to apply our knowledge of motion support research to the e-sports domain. I look forward to contributing to mouse development from the perspectives of biomechanics and data science.
Future Plans
The research will begin in September 2025, and mice reflecting the results will be released at the end of 2026. Information on the progress of the research will be shared with the community.
