Two Point Museum fans (which should be all of you): mark your calendars for August 28. The 5.0 update adds more free content to the magnificent management sim. Enter the Digiverse.
The Digiverse is a new expedition map, where Experts enter a digital gaming world, Tron-style. The new Digital Experts can explore four new Points of Interest to retrieve new exhibits, decor, and workshop items.
The Digiverse explores Two Point’s in-universe video game series, Meat Wizard (MEAT WIZAAARD!), retreiving digital displays of power-ups and characters. Players can also build two Meat Wizard Arcade Machines as Interactive Displays, creating a fun little gaming history section in your museum.
The Digiverse map starts out relatively small (only four new POIs), but will grow over time. I suspect this is opening Two Point Museum up for future collaborations with other indie games, allowing other game characters to pop up in the Digiverse as exhibits or decorations.
You can check out the developers at Two Point Studios playing through the new content on a recent Twitch stream.
In order to unlock the Digiverse, you’ll need to complete City Act 2 in Memento Mile.
The 5.0 update will also include more optimizations, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements.
I’m still loving Two Point Museum as one of my favorite games of the year. The recent Fantasy Finds DLC is also well worth checking out, adding a huge new expedition map and Experts inspired by Dungeons & Dragons.
Two Point Museum Digiverse and 5.0 update will arrive August 28. It’s rated E for Everyone.
