Jermain Defoe has advised an injured Tottenham man to leave the club this summer, suggesting that he will not get much game time in North London.
With less than a week left until the transfer window slams shut, Spurs still have a lot of work to do, with the squad having some big holes.
Reports indicate that Tottenham are prioritising signing a number ten and a winger before the window slams shut.
Interestingly, it has also been widely reported by a number of sources that Thomas Frank also wants to bring a centre-back through the door.
Jermain Defoe urges Radu Dragusin to leave Tottenham
Tottenham already have Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Kevin Danso, Radu Dragusin, Kota Takai, Ben Davies and Luka Vuskovic at their disposal, but Vuskovic is expected to join Hamburg on loan.
Defoe has suggested that Dragusin, who is currently recovering from an ACL injury, might not have a role in Frank’s squad when he returns and has urged the Romanian to seek a new club.
When asked about the former Genoa man, the Spurs legend told Sky Sports on Tiktok: “Again, if you are him, he had the injury as well. If you are him and you want to play football, I would go somewhere to play football, yeah.”
Radu Dragusin may thrive under Thomas Frank
We have already seen a few players who struggled at times under Ange Postecoglou, thrive under Frank, with Richarlison being the best example so far.
Dragusin could also be a huge asset under the new regime as the Romanian’s game is much better suited to defending the box than playing in a high line.
According to reports, Dragusin is ahead of schedule in his recovery from his ACL injury, and the 23-year-old might end up playing a lot more games this season than many people expect.
