What Video Games Are Coming Out in September 2025? – Explosion Network

One of the most anticipated games of the year, and one of the most anticipated indie games of all time, Hollow Knight: Silksong is set to release in September, so it’s bound to be one of the most memorable months of the year.

If you’re not looking to explore the land of Pharloom in Hollow Knight: Silksong, fear not, as September is a preety big month. Horror fans can look to Silent Hill: F as an exciting new entry in the series, as well as Cronos: The New Dawn, a brand new game from Bloober Team, the developer behind the Silent Hill 2 remake. And in slightly horror-adjacent, you have Dying Light: The Beast releasing after it was delayed out of August.

Fast action looks to be coming out of Borderlands 4, with new characters, villains, and a new world. And there’s plenty of speed to be found in the release of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, which features plenty of crossovers with other IPs. And then you can look to slow things down between the tactics in Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles or the comedy in Baby Steps.

Here are all the major video games set to be released in September 2025, along with some smaller games we’re keeping an eye on.

Demon Slayer – Tanjiro Xbox Wireless Controller
