The Mint Gaming Hall in Franklin has opened Kentucky’s largest retail sportsbook in partnership with Las Vegas-based Circa Sports. The launch marks the ninth Circa location in the U.S. and the company’s first in Kentucky.

At 5,100 square feet, it is the largest retail sportsbook in the state. Community members, local leaders, and Circa representatives gathered for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, where officials highlighted the venue’s 80-foot-wide LED screen, 31-foot odds board, betting counters, kiosks, premium seating, and a live VSiN broadcast studio.

We feel we’ll be able to draw people really from all around the state and from Nashville to come here and have a great experience watching and betting sports,” Mike Palm, Vice President of Operations for Circa Sports, said. He noted that early events — including UFC and preseason football viewing parties — have already drawn strong crowds, even before formal marketing efforts began.

The sportsbook is part of an 18,000-square-foot expansion at The Mint Gaming Hall. Mint Gaming Hall Vice President of Operations John Vidmar called the sportsbook “a go-to space” where fans can gather and immerse themselves in live sports.

Officials said the project underscores Franklin’s appeal as a destination, citing favorable regulations, low tax rates, and community support as reasons Circa chose to invest in Simpson County.

The new sportsbook officially debuted on August 23 during Western Kentucky University’s football opener against Sam Houston.

Facility features

The sportsbook includes 113 stadium-style seats, luxury recliners, and three tiers of booth-style seating. Bettors have access to five staffed betting stations, including one ADA-accessible option, and four self-service kiosks, with three located throughout the casino.

The VSiN studio will deliver daily live commentary, analysis, and gameday coverage, with programming distributed across broadcasts, podcasts, and digital platforms.

Derek Stevens, CEO of Circa Sports, previously said: “Our goal was to create a space that channels the energy of Las Vegas while celebrating the rich sports culture of Kentucky and the surrounding region. We’ve built a true sports destination that offers an unmatched viewing and betting experience and serves as a home base for fans.”

Circa Sports also operates in Kentucky through its mobile app, offering straight bets, parlays, futures, live in-game wagering, and other options. The platform provides real-time updates, navigation features, and promotional offers.
