With news that the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong finally has a concrete release date, we’ve also hit a seminal point in 2025. We’re coming upon the final third of this year’s video game release slate. That’s right, dearest readers, 2025 is roughly 66 percent over. I’m so sorry that you heard the news this way.
Phew. Where did the time go?
In many respects, fall and early winter are usually considered the prime part of the video game calendar. That’s because publishers and developers often like to plan their biggest releases around the holiday season. As the weather outside gets colder, people tend to spend more time indoors, doing things like playing video games. So, it stands to reason that the games to come in the next few months are the true heavy hitters of the year.
Below, you will find a calendar of the biggest remaining video game releases in 2025, month by month, along with some titles that will likely be released this year, but they don’t have a firm release date at the time of this writing.
