Armor is an integral part of every medieval knight, so it needs to be done immaculately in a video game where these characters are in the middle of action. The developers of Knight’s Path know this well, as you can see from this highly detailed set they used for a weight painting rig test.
According to the creators, armor is taken care of by a single 3D artist, who discusses the details with armor experts and, with this piece, with the creator of the set VojtÄ›ch JelÃnek as well as its owner, historical reenactor KryÅ¡tof Šámal. Now that’s dedication!
Kingdom Come lovers should check out Knight’s Path when it releases sometime between 2026 and 2027. Meanwhile, you can try its shorter predecessor, Knight’s Path: The Tournament, which focuses on fighting.
“Knight’s Path is an independent, story-driven open-world RPG set in a low-fantasy medieval world. We prioritize gameplay, immersion, and a challenging yet rewarding combat system. While the combat is inspired by Sekiro, it is grounded in Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) with motion-captured animations.”
Other inspirations behind the game are Gothic 2 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The full game will take about 15-30 hours to finish. Expect some nice bloody details, like decapitations, limb dismemberment, and brutal finishers.
