Hell Let Loose developer Expression Games and publisher Team17 take the military conflict across the globe from Europe into the dense jungles of Southeast Asia with the announcement of the next chapter in the HLL series – Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the new installment expands on everything that made the original game a hit, including large-scale 50 vs 50 battles, immersive realism, deep strategic gameplay, and era-specific weapons and environments, while using the new setting to introduce fresh gameplay systems and innovative ways to engage in combat.
Depicting the conflict between the United States Armed Forces and the North Vietnamese Army, HLL: Vietnam gives each side the advantages they had in real life: the US dominates the skies with flyable helicopters, while the North Vietnamese Army proves deadly on the ground with the ability to construct underground tunnels.

Naturally, given the region of the conflict, the environment itself plays a crucial role in shaping each encounter. Featuring dense jungles, rice fields, beaches, and rolling hills, the maps are inspired by key events, locations, and operations of the Vietnam War. At launch, the game will include six distinctive maps, with more planned for future updates.
Rivers deserve special mention, with the developers explaining that each map has been carefully designed around extensive river networks. The US Forces will command heavily armed vessels, including the iconic Patrol Boat River (PBR), while facing Vietnamese boats, masters of stealth within Vietnam’s waterways.

“Our World War Two-based Hell Let Loose is incredibly important to us and our players,” comments the team. “We can reassure you all that Team17 remains fully committed to the franchise. To bring Hell Let Loose: Vietnam to life, Expression has built a second team in order to support both titles simultaneously. One game will never come at the expense of the other. Our focus remains on growing and improving both experiences for our players. Running both games side by side allows them to benefit from shared updates and improvements, enhancing the overall experience for the players as we continue to support both titles.”
