We say this because competitions have been constant and an example of this was a few weeks ago with League of Legends, as the MSI, the second most important tournament in the sector in which the best teams on the planet faced each other, almost overlapped with the Esports World Cup, a project that brought together the best organizations on the planet in the most important disciplines of the sector
This EWC was especially followed in Spain, firstly because Movistar KOI, the most followed club in Spain, was coming to a new international tournament after its poor performance in the MSI, and secondly because Heretics managed to win its first international title in VALORANT, leaving a final against Fnatic that will be remembered for many years. But this competition does not stop there, as a few minutes ago the organization in charge of carrying it out announced what many eSports fans have been asking for years.

Esports Nations Cup arrives
We are talking, of course, about the Esports Nations Cup, the esports competition for national teams, which will make the dream of many esports fans come true. The best players on the planet in the different disciplines will compete, but this time without defending an organization, defending the colors of their country of origin. The format of this Esports Nations Cup will be very similar to that of the Esports World Cup, with many disciplines in which each team will earn points for the final classification, i.e. as close as possible to an Olympic Games for video games
This tournament will also be held every two years and the first edition already has a date and venue, November 2026 in Riyadh. It has also been announced that the venue will rotate each edition and that more than 15 disciplines will be involved in the competition, asEA, Tencent, Krafton and Ubisoftare already associated with theEsports Nations Cup.
As for the invited countries, we have already been able to learn about some such as France, Italy, South Korea and the United Kingdom, although we imagine that there will still be many more to be announced, such as Spain. Thanks to clubs such as Heretics, Movistar KOI or GIANTX among others and the large number of national players competing in the best leagues in the world, we imagine that they will be among those invited to this tournament, although we will have to wait for further updates on the project.
