Out of nowhere, August 21 turned into a landmark day for the gaming community, delivering not just one, but two long-awaited release date announcements, with Escape from Tarkov developer Battlestate Games following the example of Hollow Knight: Silksong and revealing the launch date for Escape from Tarkov 1.0.
The date in question, November 15, 2025, first appeared in the game’s latest live-action trailer on several occasions, though at first there was no confirmation that this would be the day version 1.0 arrives, leading some to believe BG intended to reveal the release date only in November.
A few hours later, Battlestate Games head Nikita Buyanov clarified the situation over on Twitter, confirming that the date shown in the trailer is indeed when Escape from Tarkov will finally escape the beta stage and voicing the thoughts of the title’s many fans with a simple “Let’s gooooooo!” remark. With the launch now set, it means EfT has taken a little over nine years to reach its fully-fledged release, after first becoming available to select users in closed alpha on August 4, 2016.
At the moment, apart from the launch date, the team hasn’t shared any updates, leaving the changes and fixes coming in version 1.0 – and the most important question of whether the game will arrive on Steam – a mystery.
