Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Full Line-Up and Features Revealed

The Gamescom trailer for Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection confirms more classic games coming to the collection, including Mythologies, Special Forces, and more!

During the Xbox Gamescom showcase this morning, Digital Eclipse, Atari, and WB Interactive confirmed new details for the upcoming Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection. Though it leaked out a earlier this week on the showroom floor, the announcement confirms new additions to the collection’s line-up of games. These will include the (in)famous spin-off games, Mythologies: Sub-Zero and even Special Forces.

We’re also getting the GBA version of Deadly Alliance AND the WaveNet edition of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 which hasn’t had a playable version outside of arcades since 1997. All in all, it’s a pretty great list of games for fans who may have missed out on these titles when they first released (no Shaolin Monks though…).

The Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection final lineup includes:

Mortal Kombat – 1992 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear)

Mortal Kombat II – 1993 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, 32X)

Mortal Kombat 3 – 1995 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis)

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 – 1995 (Arcade, WaveNet Arcade, SNES)

Mortal Kombat Trilogy – 1996 (PlayStation)

Mortal Kombat 4 – 1997 (Arcade)

Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero – 1997 (PlayStation)

Mortal Kombat Special Forces – 2000 (PlayStation)

Mortal Kombat Advance – 2001 (Game Boy Advance)

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance – 2002 (Game Boy Advance)

Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition – 2003 (Game Boy Advance)

The Legacy Kollection will also feature new enhancements, including a Rewind feature for more forgiving gameplay, on-screen move lists and a Trainer mode to help players perfect their combos. There’s also a swanky new “Fatality Trainer” to allow gamers the chance to actually practice and perfect the iconic finishers.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is set to arrive “soon” digitally for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch, with the physical versions shipping out on December 12, 2025.
