Rush hour delays after car hits telegraph pole

There are delays on a busy route after a car hit a telegraph pole.

The A228 Sundridge Hill in Cuxton is partially closed while it awaits UK Power Networks for a repair.

Police were called to the scene shortly before 5am, and no injuries have been reported.

There is queuing traffic in the area, and drivers are advised to find alternative routes.

A spokesman for the force said: “We were called at 4.56am today to a report that a car had struck a telegraph pole in Sundridge Hill, Cuxton.

“Patrols are currently at the scene, where no injuries have been reported.

“The road is partly closed pending the arrival of UK Power Networks, and officers are completing traffic control.”
