Ederson has been left out of Manchester City‘s squad to face Wolves on Saturday evening amid an uncertain future at the club.
The 31-year-old has reportedly been the subject of interest from Turkish side Galatasaray, who have launched a first bid for the Brazilian.
City manager Pep Guardiola has instead opted to start summer signing James Trafford in his side’s Premier League opener at Molineux.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Ederson is said to be keen on the move after Galatasary submitted an £8.5million bid for the player.
However, he claims that City have turned that down as they are holding out for a higher fee for Ederson, who has been a mainstay at City since signing from Portuguese side Benfica in 2017.
While Guardiola’s side have brought Trafford back to the club after he helped Burnley win promotion to the Premier League last season, they have also been linked with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Donnarumma has hit out at PSG after he was frozen out by Luis Enrique for seeking a move away, with new signing Lucas Chevalier taking over as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Commenting on the situation on social media, Donnarumma expressed his disappointment with the club.
He wrote: ‘Unfortunately, someone has decided that I can no longer be part of the group and contribute to the team’s success. I am disappointed and disheartened.’
Donnarumma wasn’t part of the PSG squad for their Super Cup victory against Tottenham.
The goalkeeper reportedly earns around £200,000-a-week at the Ligue 1 side.
Donnarumma has made 161 appearances for PSG since joining the club from AC Milan back in 2021 on a free transfer.
Ederson has been a key part of City’s success since joining the club in 2017 and has made 372 appearances.
He has won four Ligue 1 titles, two French Cups, three French Super Cups and the Champions League while at the club.

Donnarumma has also enjoyed success with Italy having helped his nation be crowned European champions back in 2021.
During that time Ederson has won six Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups and four League Cups.
