Heung-min Son tells Yang Min-hyeok to focus on one challenge at a time
Yang Min-hyeok is at the opposite end of his career to Son, with the teenager looking to establish himself in the Tottenham first-team and the South Korean national side.
The Tottenham legend has admitted that he is proud of the progress that the 19-year-old is making and urged him to focus on one step at a time without thinking too far into the future.
When asked what advice he would give to Yang, Son told Football.London: “I’m very happy to see young players come up and develop in Europe. I’m very proud to see Yang fight for a position in the squad.
“As for tips, I’d like to see Yang experience things on the field and not think too much or too hard. Just focus on what’s in front of him.”
Thomas Frank likes what he has seen of Yang
Thomas Frank and his coaching staff have gotten their first look at Yang this summer after the winger returned from his impressive loan spell at QPR.
The Dane admitted that he likes what he sees, but confessed that the youngster needs to continue working hard to improve if he wants to challenge for a place in the Tottenham team.
When asked about Yang, Frank said (via TBR Football): “He is a good, promising young player with good talent, and he needs to keep working hard and keep trying to improve and develop. He’s not been playing for that long, and a role model like Sonny must be fantastic for him.”
