Samsung has listed the Odyssey G7 G75F gaming monitor on its Malaysian website. It has a curved 37-inch 4K VA panel with a refresh rate of 165 Hz.
Samsung has stealthily unveiled a new 4K monitor as a part of its Odyssey G7 series. However, it has only shown up on the brand’s Malaysian website, with no word about a global release. With a 37-inch screen, the Samsung Odyssey G7 G75F is the largest monitor of its kind and a unique screen size in general. The only other one on the market is Asus’ ROG Swift PG38UQ, which was unveiled at Computex 2023.
The Odyssey G7 G75F comes with a curved 1000R 4K (3,840 x 2,160) VA panel with a typical brightness of 350 nits, 165 Hz refresh rate and grey-to-grey response time of 1 ms. For I/O, you get one DP 1.4 port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB-B port, and two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports. In-built speakers are omitted.
Other Odyssey G7 G75F specs include AMD FreeSync Premium Pro (no Nvidia G-Sync, sadly), HDR10+, 99% coverage of the sRGB colour gamut, 90% DCI-P3 and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. On the software front, there’s Auto Source Switch+ that automatically detects and switches to a new display input. The monitor’s stand only supports height adjustment, and not pivot/tilt.
By itself, the Odyssey G7 G75F measures 816 mm x 483.2 mm x 170.8 mm (303.8 mm with stand) and weighs 15.1 kg total. Like other Odyssey-branded monitors, it comes with RGB lights around its stand that are configurable via software. It costs RM 4,399, which roughly translates to $1,038.
