Staff at a Kent curry house had a “day to remember” after welcoming the Prime Minister for a meal.
Keir Starmer was seen dining at Turmeric Square, in Kings Hill, yesterday.

In a post shared online, the Indian restaurant in Liberty Square described the visit as “unforgettable”.
It said: “A day to remember! We had the incredible honour of welcoming UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to our restaurant today.
“From the kitchen to the table, it was an unforgettable moment filled with great conversation, smiles, and of course, amazing food.
“Thank you, Prime Minister, for stopping by and showing your support.
“Your visit means the world to our team and community.”

The Labour leader was seen posing and smiling with staff members while wearing jeans and a blazer.
Turmeric Square unconventionally opened during the coronavirus pandemic in May 2021, following three months of takeaway trade.
However, speaking at the time, managers Kamrul Islam and Sanu Miah said the timing was perfect.
The Islam family seemingly like doing things the hard way after launching their Tonbridge restaurant, Turmeric Gold, in 2008 during a credit crunch.
