A road has been shut by police after a car reportedly went into a front garden in a serious crash.
It’s understood a car ploughed into a front garden in Recluver Road, Herne Bay, this morning.

As a result, the route is closed between Hazlemere Drive and Terminus Drive.
Residents on social media have reported that a car went into the front garden of a property near a line of shops.
Officers are at the scene and have put a cordon up, which stretches across the row of stores and down part of Terminus Drive.
A police spokeswoman said: “We are attending a report of a serious collision in Reculver Road, Herne Bay.
“Officers, along with other emergency services, were called to the scene near the junction with Terminus Drive shortly after midnight.

“The road remains closed while enquiries are ongoing at the scene.”
The road is a main route through the village, which has already been disrupted by recent road works in Osbourne Gardens.
The diversion usually takes motorists along Recluver Road, meaning they now face long detours.
Emergency services have been contacted for further information.
