Nevada gaming wins down in May, but still surpass $1 billion

Nevada is reporting gaming wins of more than $1.29 billion statewide last month.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board says most of that money came from the Las Vegas Strip.

Overall, the state saw a 2.18% decrease in gaming wins compared to the same time last year when the Silver State won $1.320 billion.

The Board says gaming wins have decreased 1.18% for the Fiscal Year (July 1, 2024-May 31, 2025).

Washoe County brought in $90.6 million in May, compared to $90.4 million the same time last year.

South Lake Tahoe brought in more than $13.5 million, down 23.42%.

Elko County brought in $35.8 million in May, up 6.50%.

The Carson Valley area brought in just a little more than $12.7 million, up 7.20%.

Meanwhile, casinos on the Strip took in $713.7 million, compared to nearly $742.5 million in May 2024, a 3.87% decrease.
