Visitors at Point Place Casino in New York can now explore an expanded gaming floor, redesigned lounge, and new food and beverage options as part of the property’s $50 million phased upgrade, initiated based on guest feedback and continuing through the end of the year.
The first phase of the expansion officially opens to the public today, August 1, and is being introduced with a weekend celebration featuring gaming promotions, entertainment, and giveaways. The event includes live performances by DJ Bill T on both August 1 and 2, DJ VanSlay on August 2, and celebrity impersonator Reuben Castillo, known for performances as Elvis and other personalities.
The expansion includes a gaming floor that is now twice its previous size, with 400 new slot machines already installed and 100 more expected to be added soon. The additional space is designed to accommodate more guests and support a wider range of slot titles.
Upgrades to the property also include a full remodel of the Fireside Lounge. The updated lounge features a 360-degree view of its wood-burning fireplace, seating for 60 inside the lounge, and room for 70 guests at the bar. A newly introduced mixologist is offering craft cocktails alongside the lounge’s standard menu of beers, wines, and classic drinks.
The Perfect Pour Café has also been renovated and expanded. It continues to serve sandwiches, sweets, coffee, and cocoa. A newly placed guest services desk near the gaming area aims to provide easier access to visitor assistance.
Guests attending the launch event can also participate in gaming promotions, including a VIP Free Play Bash Hot Seat on Saturday and a Free Play Frenzy Hot Seat on Sunday. Photo opportunities and special gifts are also part of the weekend programming.
“We’re thrilled to share the first phase of our expansion with guests, especially because so many of these updates and new amenities were driven by their feedback,” said Jerry Marrello, Turning Stone Enterprises Vice President for Regional Casinos.
“Our guests and our team members have made Point Place Casino a really special place to visit, and all of this growth won’t change that,” Marrello added. “Instead, it’s creating more ways to enjoy time with us. These updates are only the first step, and there’s even more to be excited about in the months ahead.”
Additional developments are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025. These include a new hotel, The Forest Grill restaurant, an event space, expanded Burgers of Madison County offerings with breakfast service, and a new retail store operated by Joe Shapiro, owner of The Commons at Turning Stone. New parking areas will also be added to accommodate increased visitor traffic.
The expansion is part of ongoing investment initiatives by the Oneida Indian Nation across its properties, which include the $370 million Turning Stone Evolution project and the Verona Collective dispensary locations.
