The XU20 V32 is one of several gaming handhelds that XU Retro is expected to release this year. Essentially a TrimUI Brick running Android, the XU20 V32 will be available for under $50 in several colours with a 3.2-inch and 768p display, a 3,200 mAh battery and an Allwinner A133P chipset.
Just over a month has passed since TrimUI refreshed its Brick gaming handheld (curr. $73.99 on Amazon) with a metal edition dubbed the Brick Hammer. Now, it seems that the TrimUI Brick has a new rival in development by the XU Retro called the XU20 V32. Apparently one of several gaming handhelds planned by XU Retro this year, the XU20 V32 will slightly undercut the TrimUI Brick on price too.
According to reports shared on Reddit, the XU20 V32 will initially cost $48 for the first 600 units sold. At this stage, regular retail pricing has not been decided. Nonetheless, we would expect it to be slightly higher than $50. For that early bird price, XU Retro has decided to include the following hardware:
- 3.2-inch, 1,024 x 768-pixel IPS touchscreen display
- Allwinner A133P chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz with IMG PowerVR GE8300 GPU
- 2 GB DDR4 RAM
- 3,200 mAh Li-Po battery (5~7 hours of battery life)
- Up to 512 GB microSD cards
- Stereo speakers
All this hardware is packaged in a 112 x 83 x 24 mm housing that weighs 160 g. Moreover, the XU20 X32 is said to support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and a joystick button on its d-pad. On top of that, the budget gaming handheld runs Android 10 with Aurora Launcher pre-installed. At this stage, XU Retro plans to sell the XU20 X32 in three or four of the following colour options, which one can vote for via this Google Form.
- Black
- Tan
- Blue-Green
- Leaf Green
- Purple
