The Fortnite Super Season is drawing to a close, and as the countdown to the original Fortnite live event wrapped up, it seemed that Epic Games was on the verge of making another exciting announcement with the reveal of the Super Showdown live event. This event is set to take place in Battle Royale and will present players with an epic new Kaiju battle, reports the Mirror.

However, before we reach the start date of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, there’s one more update to get through – one that will hopefully deliver a plethora of new content to bid adieu to the Super Season in style, ideally without the extended update 36.20 downtime that led to an official statement from Epic Games.

So, the question arises – is Fortnite down? Here’s what you need to know.

The game will disable matchmaking half an hour before this time, ensuring that players can finish their games before the system enters downtime.

The upcoming maintenance window is expected to last between two and three hours, based on historical downtimes, with the exception of the notably extended 36.20 update. This suggests that players should be prepared for servers to come back online by no later than 4 a.m. PDT / 7 a.m. EDT / 12 p.m.BST.

To find out what new content is coming to Fortnite, the most reliable source is the game’s community Trello board, where Epic Games’ developers keep players updated on the changes expected in each update.

Here are the items currently listed as “Fixed in Next Game Update” on the Trello board:

Battle Royale / Reload / OG

Switching from KBM to controller might cause Superman’s power icons to disappear or display incorrectly – When playing as Superman (Superman’s Call Mythic Item) and switching input from keyboard+mouse to controller, players may notice their power icons may appear in incorrect order or disappear entirely. Temporary workaround: Using Superman’s abilities while airborne should correct the icon inconsistency.

Lego Fortnite

Hunter’s abilities have no effect on Spires – When fighting a Spire as the Hunter, the following abilities have no impact: Bull’s-Eye only marks the main Spire but not the small Spires attached to it; Bull’s-Eye Blade deals no damage to small Spires.

Rift Shards may cause autofire to stop working properly (mobile)– Autofire may occasionally stop working on Mobile when using the Rift Ripper’s Rift Shards ability. Temporary workaround: Aim away from the enemy (or at another enemy), then back at the enemy to resume autofire.
