What is in this gaming PC?

Ryzen 7 9800X3D

We’ve tested and reviewed the Ryzen 7 9800X3D here at PC Guide, and its performance didn’t disappoint in the least. This CPU had no issues keeping up with the RTX 4070 Ti and managed 334 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 running at 1080p low settings. Besides that, during the Blender test, it pulled 130W, which is decent, but it also managed to outperform the Ryzen 7 9700X in every Blender test.

What was incredible to see is that it matched the multi-core and single-core output of the 9700X, with both being neck and neck in benchmarking applications like Cinebench, CPU-Z, and more.

RTX 5080

It isn’t clear which variant of the RTX 5080 will be included in this gaming PC, but fundamentally, they are all the same, and the performance shouldn’t vary a lot. We’ve reviewed two RTX 5080s, the Founders Edition and the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 OC. We’ll showcase the findings of the RTX 5080 FE as it wasn’t overclocked.

We coupled this GPU with the 9800X3D, so the output should be close or the same for you as well, but depending on the motherboard, RAM, and SSD, it could vary a bit. In F1 24, it managed 84 FPS at 4K natively and 188 FPS in Counter-Strike 2.

In more graphically demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077, we got 72 FPS, and with DLSS 4 and MFG, this shot up to 183 FPS. However, we only turned to these technologies after ramping up the ray tracing to overdrive, which even pushed the RTX 5080 beyond its limits. What this means is that you should be able to get any AAA title without running into any issues.

Other hardware

You’ll get 64GB of DDR5 RAM with a 6,000 MHz frequency, 2TB NVMe SSD, an 850W gold PSU, a 360mm AIO cooler, WiFi 5, and pre-installed Windows 11. So, you’re covered from every aspect, as none of these elements should bring down the performance of the PC or negatively impact it in any way.

Who’s this deal for?

There is no doubt about the fact that this gaming PC has excellent hardware, and it should keep you set for a good couple of years to come, as hardware of this level shouldn’t warrant an upgrade for the foreseeable future. Also, it has a decent discount, and the lime/neon casing also has great gamer aesthetics. However, that might not be for everyone, but if you put that aside, the sheer performance this gaming PC promises warrants serious consideration from professionals, gamers, content creators, and others.
