DrDisrespect’s streams on Rumble might have caught you off guard if you missed the memo, but it’s yet another streaming platform on the market. DrDisrespect was a marquee signing in a bid to grow their Rumble Gaming community. Here’s an explanation of Rumble.com, and how his mission is going so far.
What is Rumble?
If you consider yourself an avid gamer and have never heard of Rumble.com until DrDisrespect started streaming on it you can be forgiven. In terms of high profile streamers, only RiceGum and occasionally Mizkif have graced the platform.
Rumble.com is a streaming platform founded in 2013 that market itself as a censorship-resistant platform. As a result, it is primarily used as a platform for discussion around political discourse and news. Well-known users include Donald Trump Jr., Russell Brand, and Dan Bongino.
Rumble.com is also home to many political shows including right-wing news website InfoWars and the pro-Trump Right Side Broadcasting Network.
Are gaming streams popular on Rumble.com?
Gaming streams have not yet gained significant traction on Rumble. News, Politics and Podcasts remain the most popular types of content by far.
The Rumble Gaming community is a new vertical on Rumble.com that the platform is trying to push in 2025, in particular via the signing of DrDisrespect. However, the multi-year deal with DrDisrespect, which started in November 2024, thus far has yet to make a major impact in terms of drawing other big name streamers to the platform.
In some sense it is reminiscent of when Mixer signed Ninja and Shroud in 2019 in the hopes it could help turn the tides and increase visibility. However, given that in the fall of 2024, DrDisrespect was demonetized on YouTube and still banned from Twitch, Rumble.com’s anti-cancel culture was likely an appealing option.
Interestingly, DrDisrespect’s Youtube monetization was reactivated in January 2025, and the two-time currently streams on both Rumble and YouTube.
In November 2024, DrDisrespect announced a multi-year deal with Rumble.com. As part of the deal, DrDisrespect is acting as an advisor to help build the Rumble Gaming community.
Providing exclusive content via Rumble Premium to his well-known “Champions Club”, DrDisrespect will also receive equity based on reaching certain milestones.
“Rumble is in a new era, and I’m laser-focused on expanding into two categories: gaming and crypto,” said Rumble Chairman and CEO Chris Pavlovski in November 2024. “Dr Disrespect will give a much-needed injection into our gaming category.”
What is Rumble Premium
Rumble Premium is the platform’s equivalent of the paid subscriber model and costs $9.99 per month, or $99 for the year. Rumble Premium is significantly more expensive than its competitors, double the cost of a standard Twitch or Kick sub. However, the key USP is the offer of Premium Content exclusive to Rumble Premium members.
Rumble Premium will offer you:
- Ad-free viewing
- Premium Content from the creator of choice
- Verified badge and extended creator tools
Whether Rumble can truly compete in the gaming space remains to be seen – but with DrDisrespect on board and exclusives on offer, the battle is officially underway.
