The RTX 5070 Ti Laptop-equipped Lenovo Legion Pro 7 is a shockingly powerful gaming notebook that promises great performance and a beautiful high-refresh rate OLED display. Thanks to an ongoing in-store sale at MicroCenter, the Legion Pro 7 gaming laptop can now be bought for its lowest price yet.
Just a few days ago, we reported on an enticing limited-time discount for the GeForce RTX 5090-powered Lenovo Legion Pro 7i gaming laptop. Despite the hefty discount, plenty of folks may prefer to go with the more affordable lower-tier variants of the device. Thankfully, the Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti-equipped variant is now also on sale with a massive $500 discount, albeit available only for in-store pickup at MicroCenter.
Priced at $2,100, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7 with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU and RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU presents quite an enticing value proposition. As we noted in our review of the gaming laptop, the Core Ultra 9 performs perfectly admirably, leaving hardly any room for complaint even when compared with AMD’s highest-end offerings. The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop gaming GPU boasts great performance, and offers 12 GB of VRAM compared to the RTX 5070’s meager 8 GB.
Our detailed review of the laptop also reveals well-managed thermals, which allows the laptop’s capable hardware to truly spread its wings even with sustained workloads. According to our numbers, the RTX 5090 variant does get loud under load, although case temperatures remain comfortable for a good gaming experience. The 32 GB of DDR5-6400 RAM and 2 TB of SSD storage (2x M.2 slots) are user-accessible and upgradeable, which is always welcome. The port selection is as follows:
- Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- One USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, Thunderbolt 4
- HDMI 2.1
- 2.5G Ethernet
- Audio jack
Coming to the display, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7 continues to impress. The 16-inch 240 Hz OLED panel boasts a resolution of 2560 x 1600, allowing for a fast and rich gaming experience. Our review reveals an impressive 99.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut, which is great for content creation workflows. Brightness performance is also decent, hitting 500 and 1000 nits in SDR and HDR content respectively.
All told, folks with $2,100 to spare who can drive to their nearest MicroCenter will likely be quite pleased with this powerful desktop-replacement gaming laptop. For stock-related queries, kindly refer to the product page linked earlier in the article.
