Going back and playing games that were released decades ago can be a real mixed bag. Some games that were stellar titles at the time end up aging like milk, while others are still a riot to this day. Fortunately, the latter are more likely to stick around on storefronts, meaning you can pick them up during a sale and snag a piece of gaming history for less.

4 PC gaming myths many people still believe
As someone new to PC gaming, it’s far simpler than I have believed.
This time, we’re taking a peek at Dark Messiah of Might & Magic. The game is just shy of celebrating its 19th birthday, but don’t let its age fool you. Despite it being old enough to drink in some countries, the game still achieves some technical goals that other titles haven’t been able to replicate since.
Dark Messiah of Might & Magic is just $2.49 for a limited time
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic is a really interesting mix of genres. You play it in first-person mode, but calling it an FPS is a bit weird. Yes, you can shoot things with a bow, but there’s also melee, stealth, and magic at your disposal. The systems for building your character are derived from the RPG genre, and the game itself plays quite similarly to Immersive Sim titles. It’s a really interesting blend that keeps me coming back year after year.
The most satisfying part of the game is definitely the kick. Despite it being from 2006, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic has a pretty robust physics system, meaning you can boot people into traps, pits, and each other. Giving an orc a hefty kick off a rope bridge never gets old, trust me.
If this sounds like something you want to try, it’s currently 75% off over on Steam for a cool $2.49. So give it a spin and see if it’s to your liking. To this day, it’s still getting good reviews, attaining a 90% positive score in both recent and lifetime samples.
