Weibo Gaming qualify for Siege X Esports World Cup

Weibo Gaming qualified for the Siege X Esports World Cup after taking down Elevate in the Asia League 2025 Stage 1 grand final. The Asian mix ran over the Brazilian lineup with back-to-back 7-3 wins on Nigthaven Labs and Chalet.

The Chinese esports organization picked up the Asian roster in March 2025 and joined the Asia League 2025 as an Affiliate Team. With plenty of international experience across all of the players on the team and the addition of the Six Berlin Major champion Matthew “meepeY” Sharples as the team’s head coach, Weibo Gaming automatically became favorites to take the region’s spot to play in Riyadh in August.

As expected, Weibo Gaming dominated the group stage phase with seven victories and zero defeats. Eventually, after a 2-1 victory against Soul’s Heart Esports, the Asian mix reached the Upper Bracket Final. Surprisingly, Elevate pushed Weibo Gaming to the Lower Bracket, which forced Weibo Gaming to play against Soul’s Heart Esports once again. Today, the team reached Riyadh after taking down the Thai and the Brazilian squads.

With the first spot giving awarding them a place in the Siege X Esports World Cup, this result also means Weibo Gaming have claimed 300 SI Points. It will not be the first time for the Weibo Gaming core to play in Riyadh, as they competed in last year’s Esports World Cup for Bleed Esports. This will also be the team’s first international competition since the Six Invitational 2025.
