Kilter Films double-dipping in the video game world with an upcoming adaptation of an iconic first-person shooter.
Amazon Prime Video had an instant hit on its hands when the Fallout TV series debuted last year, and now, the same creative team that brought that universe to life will look to tackle another legendary gaming IP. A Wolfenstein show is in early development at Kilter Films.
A report from Variety revealed that Prime Video and Kilter Films are teaming up for a Wolfenstein series. Patrick Somerville will serve as executive producer, writer, and showrunner on the series. Castle Wolfenstein launched back in 1981 and spawned a franchise of nazi-killing and espionage. The modern Wolfenstein Games were developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks.

The logline for Prime Video’s Wolfenstein simply reads, “The story of killing Nazis is evergreen.”
Kilter Films is currently producing season 2 of Fallout, which is expected to hit Prime Video later this year. Amazon is just the latest streaming service to snatch up a gaming IP, as Netflix recently greenlit an Assassin’s Creed show.
