TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) confiscated dozens of suspected illegal slot machines at two alleged illegal casinos, the commission announced Thursday.
104 machines were removed from Shamrocks locations on Navarre Ave. in Oregon and West Alexis Rd. in Toledo, along with $50,000 and other documents.
“There are real human costs behind illegal casinos,” said Ohio Casino Control Commission Executive Director Matthew Schuler. “Our ability to uphold Ohio’s gaming laws is greatly enhanced by the continued partnership between law enforcement agencies.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
To date, the Commission has served search warrants on more than 167 locations across Ohio and seized/disabled over 7,306 illegal slot machines.
That’s more than all slot machines at Ohio’s four legal casinos combined.
