Eyes up, Tenno! Starfinder and Warframe are crossing over in an upcoming adventure that puts you in a custom protoframe.
How exciting! This one’s for real Warframe sickos, but Paizo just announced a crossover between its sci-fantasy RPG, Starfinder, and the 3rd-person “shooter” developed by Digital Extremes, Warframe. The two properties are honestly made for each other.
Warframe is a game about bringing swords to as many gunfights as you can—as is Starfinder. Plus there are countless upgrades to grind for, granular abilities to increase, the similarities are there in droves. So come take a look at Operation: Orias, the upcoming Starfinder x Warframe crossover.

The adventure, Operation: Orias is set for an October 2025 release, though you’ll be able to play a demo if you’re at this year’s Gen Con. It puts players in the biomechanical skin of four operatives sent to rescue a spy from a Corpus facility. But don’t worry, you’ll get to face off with many more of the enemies of the Warframe universe in this short little adventure.
It blends the best of both worlds in a quick, tidy little snippet. This is because Paizo’s production schedule is tight enough as it is—but both Digital Extreme and Paizo were excited to see what their worlds would look like after they collided. And honestly, I’m excited to see as well. Warframe is one of those games that keeps drawing you back in no matter how long you spend away from it—it helps that going back is free. All it will cost you is your time.

Look for Operation: Orias at your FLGS or on Paizo’s webstore later this year. Though if you’re at Gen Con, be sure and stop by the Paizo area, you might get to taste for yourself what it’s going to be like. And that’s where you’ll find all the new Starfinder 2nd Edition stuff anyway.
