A certification delay have reared its head again, this time for DreadXP and Final Girl Games’ VILE: Exhumed. Originally set for release tomorrow on Steam, the game has unfortunately been delayed, due to Steam having not approved the final build for release on the platform.
“Maybe we should’ve known after plenty of creators told us VILE: Exhumed was too intense to cover, that we might run into issues releasing the game,” reads the update from Final Girl Games. “We’ve been waiting for build approval for about a month now, and since we haven’t received any updates, we wanted to go ahead and pre-emptively let everyone know we’re going to have to ‘delay’ the launch. It would be ideal to have a date to give, and we’ve all got our fingers crossed that it’ll be soon, but until approval comes through it’s not something we have control over.
You’ll know as soon as we do, we’ll pick the first date we can after approval to get VILE launched.”
In VILE: Exhumed, you will explore the remnants of a stranger’s mind through the decaying interface of an old computer, piecing together the disturbing narrative hidden within corrupted files, old abandoned forums, and emails. Every discovery brings you closer to the truth, and deeper into the rot of the mind.
