Tottenham blow as Mikey Moore is open to exit amid interest from European giants

Mikey Moore is willing to leave Tottenham Hotspur in search of game time, and Spurs are willing to let him go, but only under one condition.

Moore had a breakthrough season at Spurs last season, making 19 appearances for the Lilywhites across all competitions.

However, the 17-year-old saw his game time diminish in the final few months of the campaign as Tottenham’s senior men returned from injuries.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Borussia Dortmund had reached out to Moore about a summer transfer. However, various outlets insisted that Moore is expected to sign a new contract at Tottenham when he turns 18 in August.

Mikey Moore is open to Tottenham exit as Borussia Dortmund step up interest

A new report in Bild has now confirmed that Dortmund still remain keen on securing Tottenham Hotspur’s academy graduate’s signature.

The Bundesliga club believe that Moore can develop similarly to Jamie Gittens, who has just been sold to Chelsea for £48.5m, and they are now trying to lure the Spurs youngster away.

The England international perfectly fits the profile that Dortmund are looking for, given his ability to play as a number ten or on either flank.

The outlet suggests that the young attacker is ready to leave Tottenham in search of regular game time, with the German giants ready to pay €18m (£15.6m) for his services.

Spurs are willing to let Moore leave but under one condition

Bild say that as Spurs reshuffle their squad under Thomas Frank, they are willing to let Moore leave the club to get regular game time.

However, the North London club would only be willing to loan out the teenager with an option to buy, as they want to benefit from his development.

The report does not say if Dortmund would be open to such a deal. The Bundesliga side are not the only ones eyeing the youngster, with reports from Italy claiming last month that Juventus are eyeing an audacious move for Moore.

It is worth noting that Mikey Moore started Tottenham’s first pre-season game of the summer against Reading on Saturday, along with some big names like Cristian Romero, Pedro Porro, Dominic Solanke, and Rodrigo Bentancur.
