Hundreds enjoy tabletop games at NEA Game Fest

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Gamers across Northeast Arkansas gathered for a tabletop gaming festival.

NEA Game Fest happened over several days at the Embassy Suites in Jonesboro.

It started in 2017 to bring the gaming community together and raise money for charity.

The festival had a variety of games, such as card games, board games, role-playing games, and tournaments. It is a four-day event that runs from Thursday through Sunday.

One of the organizers, Sarah Brown, said there is something for everyone at Game Fest.

“This is more about community than anything else, it is about bringing people together to enjoy things that they like and just to have a good weekend away from TVs, computers, away from everyday real life,” Brown said.

Brown said all the proceeds will go to the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library’s ‘Friends of the Library’ volunteer group.
