Tottenham fans have been left fuming at Nottingham Forest’s latest decision involving Morgan Gibbs-White as the summer’s most controversial transfer saga continues.
The next few days are expected to be pivotal for Tottenham Hotspur, who are looking to finalise a deal for Nottingham Forest man Morgan Gibbs-White.
The transfer saga has dragged on for quite some time, with a little over a week gone since Spurs activated Gibbs-White’s £60 million release clause.
Reports have claimed that Forest are adamant that Gibbs-White will remain at the City Ground despite Tottenham’s interest.

This transfer saga has seen the Tricky Trees file a legal complaint against Spurs, as they look to prevent their talisman from moving to N17, with Evangelos Marinakis and company claiming Tottenham’s approach to Gibbs-White was illegal.
The Midlands club has now sent a clear message to Tottenham as they named Morgan Gibbs-White in their starting XI for their clash against Monaco.
Tottenham fans have since reacted to the latest XI, with many trying to remain positive that a move would still be completed, while Nottingham Forest fans have been giving it large to the Spurs supporters.
One Spurs fan said: “Lmaoo. Gibbs-White is not happening lads”. Another Tottenham fan commented: “Why is a Tottenham player starting for Forest? Surely that is illegal?”
A third was convinced Gibbs-White would still be a Spurs player, he said: “MGW starts and what? See you at Spurs soon.” Meanwhile, another chimed in: “Keeping MGW match fit for us, cheers lads.”
Another Tottenham fan remained hopeful Gibbs-White would still join Spurs, drawing a comparison with Kane before his move to Bayern: “Just a little reminder. Harry Kane played and scored a hat-trick in a pre-season friendly (after going on tour) and left for Bayern two days later.”
Meanwhile, Forest fans gave it large to Tottenham supporters, with one saying: “Thought Morgan Gibbs-White was having a medical at Tottenham, what is happening lads?”
Another added: “Morgan Gibbs-White is a Red. He hates Tottenham.” A third questioned: “Why is Gibbs-White starting? Thought he was a Spurs player?”
The digs continued: “When did Spurs sign Sels, Morato, CHO, Chris Wood as well as MGW? Starting to look like Nottingham Forest…”
One more Forest fan chimed in: “Thought the first part of the medical was done and dusted. Spuds getting rejected again.”

What next for Spurs and the Gibbs-White transfer saga?
Tottenham fans have every reason to be left frustrated with how the entire transfer saga has played out, as it seems Forest supporters are the ones having the last laugh.
A few weeks ago, it was Forest fans fuming after reports of Gibbs-White’s exit surfaced, but now they are very much over the moon, singing his praises.
Next week will be crucial for Tottenham and Morgan Gibbs-White, as reports claim that the Forest man wants the transfer saga sorted before Nuno Espirito Santo’s men travel to Portugal for their pre-season tour.
