Manchester City could be set for a summer shake-up between the sticks, with goalkeeper Ederson reportedly the subject of a surprise bid from Turkish champions Galatasaray.
The Brazil international – who has made 372 appearances for City – has been a cornerstone of Pep Guardiola’s side for the past eight seasons.
But with just one year remaining on Ederson’s current contract as he approaches his 32nd birthday in August, questions are beginning to surface over whether the end is nearing for him in Manchester.
In the past, Ederson has attracted big-money interest, particularly from the Saudi Pro League, and came close to calling time on his glittering spell at the Etihad.
However, after talks with Guardiola, he opted to stay put – committing his future to City at least until the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
Now, according to L’Equipe, a fresh suitor has emerged. Galatasaray have lodged an approach – a remarkably low €3million (£2.6m) bid for the veteran shot-stopper.

If Ederson or Stefan Ortega go, Man City are reportedly interested in re-signing James Trafford
Amid the uncertainty, City are weighing up a move to re-sign goalkeeper James Trafford – but only if one of their two senior goalkeepers departs this summer.
Talks have taken place in recent days, with City retaining a buy-back clause for the England Under 21 international.Â
That clause is understood to be a key reason why Trafford’s proposed move to Newcastle has yet to be finalised, as per Fabrizio Romano.
Trafford, 22, came through City’s academy but never made a senior appearance for the first team before joining Burnley in 2023 for £15m.
Mail Sport also understands that City had been watching Porto’s Diogo Costa among others in the eventuality that Ederson did leave.
Ederson has kept 168 clean sheets for City since joining for £35m from Benfica in 2017.
He has won 15 trophies at the club – including a Champions League and six Premier League titles – as well as three Premier League Golden Glove awards.
Ederson said of his desire to stay at City next season: ‘My head is here, it stays with City. My future is here.Â

‘It gives me everything to go back to the Premier League again and try to win the Champions League as well. My mind is staying in the club.’
City’s difficult run of form last season appears to be acting as motivation for Guardiola’s first-choice keeper.
Ederson added: ‘It’s simple, the team has not performed well. Some players have not performed well. My season was not really good.
‘Sometimes you go low, go up, go low, go low, go up. But as the level stands up this season, next season will be different.’
