The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Thursday reported that revenue generated from gaming and fantasy contests was $544.7 million in June, a year-over-year increase of 15.4%, spurred by large gains in igaming and sports betting.
Significant increases in igaming and sports betting revenue contributed to the Commonwealth’s revenue.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Grantville led all state operators, generating $96.3 million, a 30% increase compared to June 2024’s $74.1 million. Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia reported revenue of $93.8 compared to $63.9 million in June of last year, a 46.3% increase. Rivers Casino Philadelphia’s posted $53.4 million, a 12.3% increase over the $47.6 generated in June 2024. That total edged the revenue posted by Parx Casino in Philadelphia, $52.5 million, compared to the $50.3 million accumulated in June 2024, and was a 4.4% increase.
June slot revenue was $199.2 million, a drop of 0.8%. Parx Casino led all operators in slot revenue, generating $30.9 million compared to the $31.6 million posted in June 2024, down 0.7%. Wind Creek Bethlehem’s revenue from slots was $22.4 million, a year-over-year drop of 4.8% compared to June 2024’s total of $23.6 million. Rivers Casino Pittsburgh generated $20.5 million, a year-over-year decrease of 4.8% from $21.6 million.
June igaming revenue was $212.5 million, led by Hollywood Casino at Penn National’s $81 million, an increase of 35.4% year-over-year. Valley Forge Casino Resort posted igaming revenue of $59.3 million, a jump of 56.5%, and Rivers Casino Philadelphia generated $35.1 million in igaming revenue, an increase of 14.8% year-over-year.
Sports wagering across the state generated $51.2 million based on a handle of $483.6 million, a 71.4% increase year-over-year. Valley Forge Casino Resort reported June revenue of $23.1 million from a handle of $164 million. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows in Meadowlands brought in $14.2 million from a handle of $132 million. Hollywood Casino Morgantown generated $3.1 million from a handle of $46.3 million.
