Xbox Game Pass members have three new titles to start playing today, including RoboCop: Rogue City and My Friendly Neighborhood. The latter is only available on the PC and Ultimate tiers, while the former can also be played via Xbox Game Pass Standard.
Both My Friendly Neighborhood and RoboCop: Rogue City were originally released in 2023—specifically in July and November, respectively. While they share a first-person perspective, they offer fundamentally different experiences: Rogue City is a fairly traditional shooter with RPG elements, whereas My Friendly Neighborhood is a survival horror game with puzzle-solving and an eerie setting full of unsettling puppets.

Xbox Game Pass Adding New Co-Op Survival Game on July 22
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now look forward to playing a new co-op survival game come Tuesday, July 22.
Both titles were added to the Xbox Game Pass library on July 17. While the PC version of My Friendly Neighborhood recently celebrated its second anniversary, its console ports are brand-new, meaning it qualifies as a day-one release that is hence unavailable on XGP Standard, at least for the time being. Meanwhile, RoboCop: Rogue City can be played via any non-Core tier of the service. Additionally, a Game Preview version of Hooded Horse’s roguelite He is Coming was shadow-dropped on PC Game Pass on July 17.

RoboCop: Rogue City is likely to appeal to fans of Cyberpunk 2077 and tech-noir in general. That’s not just on account of its gritty dystopian atmosphere, but also thanks to its mixture of brutal combat, investigation segments, and RPG elements reminiscent of CD Projekt Red’s modern titles. The game’s writing carries deeply satirical undertones, staying true to the source material. Unlike Cyberpunk 2077, however, Rogue City is fundamentally an action-driven experience rather than offering players a choice between brute force and stealth. After all, sneaking around as a 6.6″ hunk of metal doesn’t really sound feasible.
This Xbox Game Pass arrival coincides with the release of RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, a standalone expansion promising another eight to ten hours of content. The timing appears deliberate, as publishers often leverage Microsoft’s subscription service to boost interest in related releases.
Looking ahead, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is set to receive Back to the Dawn and Abiotic Factor on July 18 and July 22, respectively. Wheel World is then scheduled to arrive on the 23rd, followed by Wuchang: Fallen Feathers a day later. The final game confirmed to be coming to the service this month is the early access version of Grounded, which is presently targeting a July 29 launch. Afterward, Xbox Game Pass is losing three titles on July 30: Gigantic, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and Turnip Boy Robs a Bank.
