Many gamers experienced problems with Battle Royale video game Fortnite early Tuesday morning.
By 7 a.m., 380 users reported issues to Downdetector, which tracks internet outages based on user submissions. The majority of those said the issue was related to the server connection.
The outages are likely due to the video game’s scheduled update (v36.20), which began at 3 a.m. CST.
“The v36.20 update brings new weapons and items like the Unstable Thunderclap DMR, Lightrider’s Surf Cube, and the Unstable Bounce Grenade,” Fortnite owner Epic Games said in a statement. “Explore Utopia City-themed Prefabs and Galleries, plus a range of other updates and fixes.”
When will Fortnite servers be back up?
Fortnite servers are typically down for two to four hours for scheduled maintenance, so the game should be back up soon.
