Biker injured in rush hour M2 barrier crash

A motorcyclist suffered a leg injury after hitting a barrier following a collision with a car on the M2.

The incident happened on the London-bound carriageway of the M2, between Junctions 5 (Sittingbourne) and 4 (Rainham) at around 8am on Friday (July 11).

The motorbike, a white Triumph, struck a barrier during the crash and the rider suffered a leg injury. He did not require hospital treatment.

The other vehicle, a black Range Rover Sport, stopped on the hard shoulder a short distance from the scene and then left before the arrival of patrols.

An investigation is under way and police are now appealing for witnesses.

Officer are urging anyone with relevant dashcam footage between 7.50am and 8.05am to contact the appeal line.
