The RTS John Wick Hex will be removed from sale on all storefronts on July 17, as confirmed by its publisher, Big Fan Games. John Wick Hex is the franchise’s only official game and features some of the movie’s most iconic characters.
Developed by independent British studio Bithell Games, John Wick Hex is a real-time tactical role-playing game set in the John Wick movie universe. The game was initially released for PC and macOS in October 2019. It was later ported to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2020. In John Wick Hex, players take on the role of the expert assassin himself to rescue Winston and Charon from the also titular villain Hex, a new character. The game features voiceover work by Ian McShane and Lance Reddick, who reprise their roles from the movies, and renowned voice actor Troy Baker as Hex. Although John Wick Hex is the only official game on the market, its publisher has confirmed that it won’t be available for long.

Through an official post on its Steam page, publisher Big Fan Games announced that John Wick Hex will be delisted from all platforms starting on July 17, 2025. After this date, players who already own John Wick Hex will still be able to access the game via their digital libraries on PC or consoles. Physical console copies will also continue working. However, new purchases of John Wick Hex will not be possible in any storefront. Big Fan Games’ statement did not elaborate on the reason behind the delisting. While the game isn’t as popular as the movies, John Wick Hex offers a unique action experience thanks to its comic book-like art style and entertaining story, though some fans claim that its action gameplay falls short.
John Wick Hex Will Be Delisted from All Platforms on July 17
Before it leaves digital shelves, fans have a final chance to buy John Wick Hex on the PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, Xbox Games Store, and Steam for $19.99. On the other hand, John Wick Hex‘s story has served as the only prequel to the movies for years, but this is set to change with the upcoming John Wick animated film. The prequel is being produced by Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski, and will explore Wick’s famous “impossible task.”
While the delisting of John Wick Hex might be discouraging for fans of the franchise, Lionsgate previously confirmed that a new AAA John Wick is in the works. There haven’t been further updates on the title, but hopefully it won’t be long before players can step into the world of John Wick in video game form again.
