Police called to support bailiffs carrying out a suspected house repossession arrested a man at the scene on suspicion of assault.
Officers joined a civil enforcement team at the property in Romney Road, Ashford, to “prevent a breach of the peace”.

Doorbell footage shared online shows a man being forcefully marched out of the front door in his dressing gown by three police officers.
Images also show a smashed downstairs window and blood on a settee.
A police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was notified of a civil enforcement action due to take place at an address in Romney Road, Ashford, on Friday 11 July 2025.
“Officers attended to prevent any potential breach of the peace.
“A local man in his 50s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.”

A black fence has been placed around the property’s periphery, with a Portaloo installed behind, and a guard patrolling in a vest bearing the words ‘High Court Enforcement’.
The home’s windows have been boarded up, boxes can be seen stacked near the front door, where two large white vans were parked outside.
Police say the suspect remains in custody pending further enquiries.
