8BitDo has updated its Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller to support Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming service natively. Available to order from today in two colour options, the Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller Xbox Edition adds a dedicated Xbox button while retaining support for Android and iOS devices.
8BitDo has been refreshing plenty of its controllers lately. For instance, the company updated the Nintendo Switch and PC versions of its Ultimate 2 wireless controller with yellow and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Edition makeovers. Now, it has turned its attention to the Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller that initially landed in October 2024.
This time, 8BitDo has updated the Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller to be an officially licensed Xbox accessory. As a result, the new controller supports Xbox Cloud Gaming natively while maintaining Android and iOS compatibility. Additionally, the accessory features a dedicated Xbox button for summoning the game streaming service instead of the dedicated 8BitDo button on the regular Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller.
The Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller is still available in a choice between black and white colour options too. Moreover, the included telescopic element can adjust between 100 mm and 170 mm to fit pretty much any smartphone going. Likewise, other features like Hall effect triggers, joysticks and a 300 mAh battery remain. Currently, the Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller Xbox Edition can be picked up on Amazon for $49.99 in either colour option.
