Nintendo Switch game vouchers are ending, but there’s still time to grab two major titles with up to $40 off

Nintendo has officially announced the impending discontinuation of its Switch Game Voucher program, one of the company’s most flexible discount offers for digital purchases. The program will end on January 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT, though players who purchase a voucher before that date will retain the right to redeem it for 12 months after purchase.

Available exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online members, each voucher set allows users to pick any two eligible digital games for $99.98 total, making it a valuable option for those interested in high-priced first-party releases. Titles that typically retail between $59.99 and $69.99 can be bundled for substantial savings, with a combined discount of up to $40.

How the voucher system works

  • Vouchers are sold in pairs for a fixed price: $99.98
  • Available only to active Nintendo Switch Online subscribers
  • Each voucher can be redeemed individually, anytime within 12 months
  • Eligible games include popular pre-orders and newly released titles
  • Switch 2 titles are excluded

You can use vouchers for instant downloads or to reserve upcoming games. However, once the program ends, no new vouchers can be purchased, making this the final stretch for players to secure one.

Highlighted eligible titles

The current voucher list is stacked with fan favorites and recent hits:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
  • Super Mario Bros. Wonder
  • Super Mario RPG
  • Princess Peach: Showtime!
  • Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
  • Pokémon Scarlet / Pokémon Violet
  • Fire Emblem Engage
  • Metroid Dread
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 3
  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons
  • Bayonetta 3
  • Splatoon 3
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
  • Luigi’s Mansion 3

Upcoming titles like Pokémon Legends: Z-A are also eligible, giving fans the ability to reserve major releases without paying full price.

The full list of eligible games and voucher redemption options is available on Nintendo’s official Game Vouchers page. Each game listing confirms whether it’s compatible with the voucher system, and players can manage redemptions directly from their Nintendo Account.
