Members of SAG-AFTRA ratified an updated agreement with major game developers, including Electronic Arts, Activision Blizzard, and Take-Two. It went into effect “immediately.”

The event marked the end of the strike that actors initiated in July 2024.

The agreement required companies to:

  • increase actor fees: by 15.17% now and another 3% in November 2025, 2026, and 2027. Moreover, overtime must now be paid at double rates;
  • improve safety monitoring. For instance, doctors must be present on set during actors’ performance of risky stunts;
  • make conditions more transparent regarding the use of artificial intelligence for voice replication.

Less than 5% of SAG-AFTRA actors opposed the agreement. The rest supported it.
