According to Bild, Xavi Simons is currently in London discussing his future, with interest from Premier League clubs continuing to build.
At present, it is understood that everything points towards Spurs, who have retained their interest in the midfielder, having been linked with him earlier in the window.
Reports also suggest that Tottenham have already spoken with RB Leipzig regarding a potential deal and are now due to hold direct talks with the player himself.

Chelsea have long been admirers of Simons, but with the Blues also monitoring Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez, Tottenham sense a genuine opportunity to push through a deal.
After missing out on previous attacking targets, often losing out to rivals at the final stage, Tottenham know they cannot afford to hesitate if they are serious about landing Simons.
Thomas Frank has made it clear that he only wants players who genuinely want to play for Tottenham, and if talks go ahead as expected, Simons will need to show he is committed to that vision.
