A McDonald’s restaurant has been forced to shut its indoor seating at night due to anti-social behaviour and concerns for staff safety.
The branch in Hermitage Lane, between Aylesford and Barming, will now close between midnight and 5am because of repeated incidents.

Displayed on a door at the restaurant, a small notice reads: “Instore is closed overnight due to safety concerns for the staff.”
A spokesman for the fast-food giant said the drive-thru facility and delivery option would still be open during those times.
They added: “The Aylesford McDonald’s restaurant continues to operate 24 hours a day without change.
“However, due to recent incidents of anti-social behaviour, and in order to prioritise the safety of our staff and customers, there are occasions when the instore area is temporarily closed.”
“We are working closely with the local police and authorities to implement effective, long-term solutions.”

The company did not go into detail about what anti-social behaviour incidents had occurred.
