Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was one of the major releases this year, having achieved immense success and becoming the highest-rated video game of all time on Metacritic. The game fascinates with its stunning visuals and an engaging and emotional narrative. It’s hard to say goodbye to this poignant story, but we might not have to, as one of the game’s key creators has hinted at a continuation or expansion of its world.
In a recent interview, the game’s Creative Director, Guillaume Broche, shared that Clair Obscur is a franchise name. “Expedition 33 is one of the stories that we want to tell in this in this franchise,” Broche said. The creator didn’t specify in what form the story might continue, pointing out that it’s still too early to announce what another story set in the game’s world would be or how it might look. “But what is sure is that this is not the end of the Clair franchise,” he said.
In the meantime, we can continue revisiting the beautiful world of the released game, which is also set to receive an artbook, as announced by publisher Pix’n Love. Also, take a behind-the-scenes look at the game with Sylvan Kim’s character animations:
