Tottenham fans are once again united in their opinion about the latest midfielder to be linked with a late move to North London.
With less than five days left before the British summer window shuts, Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with more midfielders.
The latest reports state that Tottenham have now held talks with Adrien Rabiot’s entourage, with AC Milan and Aston Villa also doing the same as deadline day approaches.
However, it is further explained that those talks remain only with the player’s entourage, as Marseille are yet to be contacted by any of the interested clubs.
Tottenham fans react to Adrien Rabiot transfer links
Taking to social media platform X, Spurs fans have not held back in their reaction to the latest links, with many supporters saying the same thing. The feeling around the fanbase is clear: they do not want Tottenham to sign the 30-year-old midfielder.
One fan commented: “I just simply cannot see how he fits Frank’s squad requirements. He is more trouble than almost anyone.” Another added: “Him and his Mum need to stay far away from my football club!” One supporter kept it brief: “No thanks.”
Another fan chimed in: “What is this. Tottenham are trying harder to p**s their fans off than signing decent players #THFC.” One more fan was clear about his feelings: “It is better we do not even sign anyone.”
Before another supporter added: “Not a 10, not a LW, not a left sided CB. Typical last minute Levy signing”, then a final fan joked: “I would rather Levy playing as a 10!”
Tottenham must focus on signing a natural number ten
Even before the transfer has been completed, it does feel like the writing is on the wall, as Tottenham fans are angry at the thought of Rabiot joining their club.
The midfielder clearly has an attitude problem, and that explains why he has been frozen out of the Marseille squad, and for a team like Tottenham that is trying to rebuild, that matters a lot.
While Spurs have switched their focus slightly to signing more experienced players, it is hard to see where the 30-year-old Frenchman would fit in, as Tottenham’s focus should be on signing a number ten.
